For overseas customers
We are not able to ship to individual customers outside Japan. Our products contain meat, so every shipment requires an animal health certificate issued for the destination country, and the importer must hold the licences that country requires. This is not something a single retail parcel can satisfy.
If you would like to buy KOKOSHIKA in your country, the route is through a local distributor. We are appointing partners market by market — please get in touch if you are a distributor, or if you are a customer who would like us to know there is demand where you live.

Who we are
KOKOSHIKA is a dog treat brand of ARATOKU Inc., based in Hokkaido, Japan. Our products are made from Ezo sika deer (Cervus nippon yesoensis) — wild deer of Hokkaido — processed at our own HACCP-compliant meat facility in Shintoku, Tokachi, the same facility that supplies venison for human consumption in Japan.
We are now looking for import and distribution partners in Asia, starting with Hong Kong and Thailand.
What makes the product different
1. One ingredient. Nothing else.
The ingredient list is a single line: Ezo venison lean meat. No preservatives, colourings, flavourings, antioxidants, binders, grains or glycerine. In a category crowded with "natural" products that still carry a dozen additives, a one-line ingredient list is something your staff can explain in five seconds.
2. Wild venison with a real place of origin
Not farmed, not imported, not reprocessed. The deer are wild animals of the Tokachi region of Hokkaido, handled through our own processing facility. Origin, species and process are all documented and verifiable — which matters when a customer asks where the meat came from.
3. A single novel protein
Venison is a protein source many dogs have never eaten. That is a factual statement about the ingredient, and it is the only claim we make. We do not make health, allergy or medical claims about the product, which keeps labelling straightforward in every market we enter.
4. Ambient shelf-stable
The jerky requires no cold chain. It ships and stores at ambient temperature, which keeps landed cost and retail handling simple compared with frozen products.

Regulatory support
Pet food made from deer is animal-derived, so importing it is a documentation exercise. We know that, and we prepare the paperwork on our side rather than leaving it to the importer.

The partner we are looking for
- An importer or distributor with customs and regulatory capability in your market — or a clear route to one
- Shelf space in the premium / natural segment. Our product cannot compete on price and we will not pretend otherwise
- For Thailand: experience with DLD feed import registration, ideally including establishment approval of an overseas facility
- Willingness to start non-exclusive with a trial order. Exclusivity is possible once volumes justify it
